HOW DARE YOU CALL US “DO-NOTHINGS, COUCH POTATOES AND UNDERACHIEVERS”

YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE AN IDEA HOW HARD WE MERE MORTALS HAVE TO WORK JUST TO PUT FOOD ON OUR TABLES THESE DAYS.

As for the past, please don’t tell me that I should be grateful for the opportunities I was given. That I should be grateful to America for letting me pursue my dream. Grateful for what, tell me, for the privilege of cleaning your floors? I should be grateful for my mom working as a maid while you didn’t even pay her minimum wage?

Is this a photo of you Robert at a town hall meeting?

I want you to know that I have done many things to make a living in my long history of work in this country and I started when I was eleven years old delivering the bread on a bicycle from a basket balanced on my head. I have cleaned your floors, picked your fruit, waited on your tables and even did something you would not have done in a million years: I actually cleaned the bed pans in a hospital. As if that wasn’t enough, even after I thought I had made it…during the disastrous reign of Reagan I saw myself unemployed and had to feed my two daughters…I took a job picking up dead bodies for a funeral home…Now tell me Mr. Robert, did you have to do any of that?

So stop your self-aggrandizing rant and realize that we are not waiting for a handout but just to be given the same opportunities you had…and that my dear Robert is something you and your Teahadist-Republican Party want to deny us…middle class, poor, black, Latinos, gays.
